DESMOND MATLAILA is a creative writer, film writer, author, actor, presenter and storyteller based in Johannesburg, South Africa. His passion is developing stories that entertain audiences while exploring real human experiences, emotions, relationships, challenges and social issues. Desmond's creative work includes film and television concepts, screenwriting, book writing, storytelling, character development and creative content development. He is the founder of Matlaila Film & Creative Studios (Pty) Ltd, where he develops original intellectual property and provides creative writing services to individuals, businesses, filmmakers, production companies and other organisations.DESMOND MATLAILA Desmond Matlaila is a South African creative writer, film writer, author and storyteller, and the founder of Matlaila Film & Creative Studios (Pty) Ltd. His passion is turning ideas, experiences and imagination into powerful stories for film, television, books and digital media. With a background as a former actor and presenter, Desmond understands storytelling from both sides of the creative process — in front of the camera and behind the scenes. He is also an educator at Delta Park School, where his work with learners has further strengthened his passion for creativity, communication and inspiring others. Through his writing, Desmond develops original film and television concepts, screenplays, books, creative campaigns and other storytelling projects. His work includes I Hate You, Eye Captured My Life, and A Date With A Celeb. Desmond believes that every idea has a story waiting to be told - and his mission is to help bring those stories to life.
